Chicken Cheese Buns

Ingredients
  

Dough:

  • 500 gm all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbs Active dry yeast
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 2 pinch yellow colour
  • Warm water as required

Filling

  • 3 cups Cooked shredded chicken
  • ½ cup Onion finely diced
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp White pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Chicken stock cube
  • 2-3 cup Milk
  • Cheese

Topping:

  • 1 egg yolk for egg wash
  • 2-3 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, egg, salt, ghee, yeast, warm water, food colouring and sugar. .
  • Knead into a soft dough and cover with a cloth, let it rise until doubled then punch down when making balls.
  • Make the filling, saute the onion in butter then add flour, dry seasonings and milk.
  • Let it simmer till thicken then turn off the stove and let it cool.
  • Mix this filling mixture with shredded cheese.
  • Take small pieces of dough, flatten them on your palm and stuff the filling mixture. Make small balls and arrange them in the baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Mix egg yolk with 2tbsp water and brush it on top of the balls , sprinkle some sesame seeds and let it rise for 2-3 hours.
  • Bake them at 350F (180C) for 8–10 minutes until golden.
  • Take them out and brush olive oil on them.
  • Cover them with a cloth to keep them soft.
  • You can enjoy them as a side or with garlic sauce on their own.
