Mix flour, egg, salt, ghee, yeast, warm water, food colouring and sugar. .
Knead into a soft dough and cover with a cloth, let it rise until doubled then punch down when making balls.
Make the filling, saute the onion in butter then add flour, dry seasonings and milk.
Let it simmer till thicken then turn off the stove and let it cool.
Mix this filling mixture with shredded cheese.
Take small pieces of dough, flatten them on your palm and stuff the filling mixture. Make small balls and arrange them in the baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Mix egg yolk with 2tbsp water and brush it on top of the balls , sprinkle some sesame seeds and let it rise for 2-3 hours.
Bake them at 350F (180C) for 8–10 minutes until golden.
Take them out and brush olive oil on them.
Cover them with a cloth to keep them soft.
You can enjoy them as a side or with garlic sauce on their own.
