Popeyes copycat simple Mac and Cheese
Stop making boxed ones and try this recipe for a gooey bowl of delicious Mac n Cheese

- 500 gms Macaroni
- ΒΌ cup Butter
- 3 tbsp All purpose flour maida2 tbsp
- 3 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Salt
- 400 grams Cheddar cheese Shredded
- 4 tbs oil
Boil the elbow macaroni for 10-15 minutes (till it turns al dente) with water, salt 1tsp and 2tbsp oil. Once cooked, drain the left over water with the help of a sieve and set aside.
Melt butter in a saucepan pan with 2 tbsp oil (this will prevent butter from burning).
Add flour to the melted butter and make a roux.
Remove from the stove and add in the milk gradually and whisk thoroughly. After mixing well put the pan again on a stove over medium flame and let it thickens.
Keep it whisking with the help of a hand whisk. Once the sauce starts bubbling add in shredded cheese.
Cook until cheese completely melts while stirring on and off (this will prevent the base from burning).
Now add salt to taste if needed and boiled macaroni, cook for another 2-3 minutes then close the stove.
Serve Hot and Enjoy.
