Homemade Chatpata Chaat Masala

Chat masala is a popular spice blend commonly used in South Asian cuisine, particularly in Indian and Pakistani dishes. It’s a tangy, salty, and slightly spicy mix of spices that adds a burst of flavor to snacks, salads, fruits, and street foods like chaat, hence the name.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper corn
  • 10-15 Red button chilli or long chilli
  • 1 tsp Ginger powder
  • 2 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 2 tbsp Mango powder/khatai powder/amchoor powder
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp Ajwain / carom seeds
  • 2-3 Cloves
  • ½ tbsp Tartaric acid

Instructions
 

  • Dry roast the whole spices on low heat in a pan.
  • Grind everything in a spice grinder. when everything cools down.
  • Store it in a airtight container.
